We Stand Together Against Racism & Oppression
We are heartbroken and deeply saddened by the continued unfair and unjust treatment of the black community. It has gone on for far too long and has to change — starting with each of us.
We stand in solidarity against racism, oppression, injustice, and violence. As a global community marketplace, we will strive to highlight and lift up brands and designers led by people of color, providing a platform for talented BIPOC designers and makers. Still, there's so much more we can do.
Now is the time to act, whether that’s by donating, protesting, reading books, listening to podcasts on race and diversity, or having difficult conversations.
As a company (along with our sister brands Design Milk and Kaufmann Mercantile), we pledge to donate a percentage of our sales in June to The NAACP Legal Defense and Educational Fund, and will continue to donate thereafter to other organizations that promote social justice and reform. We will continue to share these organizations on a regular basis and keep you posted on these efforts. We are also actively seeking to add more BIPOC-owned brands to our shop.
Below is a list of helpful resources to get you started on how you can fight against hate and discrimination. No individual or brand is perfect, but our sincerest intention is to learn, reflect, and do whatever we can to help end racism for good.
